THE BEST OF PELTS : PINEL ET PINEL

No, this is NOT an old-fashioned cooker of some kind.

It is a Game Trunk : you know what I mean, Scrabble, Chess, Backgammon, that sort of a game .

This trunk is filled with more than forty games ranging from Trivial Pursuit to Scrabble and Monopoly. The trunk contains hand carved chess pieces which are prominently displayed in a lighted recess in the trunk. The poker set contains specially made ceramic chips in trays on top.

The Pinel & Pinel Game trunk can be ordered in a rainbow of fifty one different colors of leather  from Pinel & Pinel’s Paris store.

Isn’t that total luxury ?

This exclusive trunk was made for Martell cognacs for the most expansive if not expEnsive of tastings !

Fred Pinel is a  master craftsman and creator of deluxe, contemporary, hand-stitched leather luggage, trunks and accessories, who’s recently opened his first boutique, Pinel & Pinel, on rue Royale  in Paris’ 8th arrondisement. So swish, c’est chic.

For many years, Monsieur Pinel’s wares have been keenly sought by luxurists in the know, and only available in a handful of stores such as Colette in Paris, Harrods in London and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, or else by appointment in his Montmartre atelier. Now, his collection of bags, clutches, jewellery boxes, iPhone and cigar cases and more is available to buy straight off the shelf.

Champagne made “irresistible” !

His forte however, remains the bespoke, artisan and made to order, working with exotic skins such as crocodile and shagreen. What’s more, Fred loves a bit of colour and isn’t afraid to use it. Just about anything is possible, from champagne cases and music cabinets to baby wardrobes and even bonsai gardens and dog collars – just add imagination. Oh, and a hefty bank account.

All this exotic , luxurious info via the wonderful web site http://www.luxecityguides.com

the “ consummately stylish pocket travel guides, packed with astute, opinionated information for the busy and sophisticated visitor.” Well said, that’s exactly IT.
